CWC Welcomes Autumn Baker to the Team

By July 18, 2023 No Comments

We are excited to welcome Autumn Baker as our new Development & Donor Relations Coordinator. Autumn is a life-long nature lover who has been volunteering with CWC since 2022 as a stewardship volunteer and as a preserve and conservation easement monitor. In addition to her monitoring and stewardship work with the CWC, she also volunteers as a preserve steward for the Michigan Nature Association.

Autumn has a special interest in amphibian and reptile conservation which has led her to act as a vernal pool monitor with the Michigan Vernal Pools Partnership. She has identified and catalogued vernal pools at Sylvan Solace Preserve and Hall’s Lake Natural Area as well as on numerous other properties across several Central Michigan Counties. She also serves as social media coordinator for Herpetological Resource & Management, Michigan Amphibian & Reptile Conservancy, and the Michigan Herp Atlas. She is very excited to join the staff and looks forward to working with the community to further CWC’s mission of preserving Central Michigan’s natural beauty.

Autumn is taking the place of Alexis Hansen who, after five years with the CWC, recently left the organization to take up the post of Parks and Recreation Director for Isabella County.
