Chippewa Watershed Conservancy (CWC) has recently unveiled a slate of environmental education programs and other events for the months of December, January and February. All of these programs are free and open to the public. A mix of indoor and outdoor programs on CWC’s nature preserves will inspire a connection to the natural world and bring people with similar interests together, even in the coldest and darkest months of the year.
“At Chippewa Watershed Conservancy, we don’t just permanently protect land through conservation easements and nature preserve acquisitions. We implore people to broaden their understanding of the world around them,” said Jon Breithaupt, Executive Director of CWC. “The array of opportunities we’re offering this winter give people a different perspective on places they may frequently visit.” Breithaupt explained, “Program participants can learn about the Conservancy through a craft beer and pizza “friendraisier,” summit Bundy Hill on New Year’s Day, or explore Sylvan Solace Preserve on the shortest day of the year with us.” All of CWC’s winter events are great for friends and families to attend.
