We are pleased to announce that two new matching challenge grants have been received in support of our efforts to acquire Bundy Hill, the highest geologic point in Isabella County.
Isabella Bank has pledged to match dollar for dollar, contributions up to $25,000.00 for the project. Mary Olivieri, Community Relations Officer for Isabella Bank said, “We believe that challenge grants such as this create community awareness for the organization’s need while generating dollars. It is a perfect opportunity for individuals to make a difference in our community.”
This grant comes on the heels of a dollar for dollar matching challenge grant awarded by the Rollin M. Gerstacker Foundation. Foundation Vice President E. N. Grant stated, “We will match whatever amount you are able to raise from other sources up to a maximum amount of $20,000.00 in 2016.”
CWC Executive Director Stan Lilley said, “We are thrilled to receive these critical boosts to our plans to acquire Bundy Hill to preserve natural space and make the area publicly accessible. This iconic piece of property is important to everyone in mid-Michigan and we are grateful to have the help of these partners to make this goal a reality. This is an opportunity for community members to double the value of their contributions. The next $45,000.00 we raise will become $90,000.00, thanks to these challenge grants.”
