The CWC offers twenty-five public nature preserves across four counties of our service area. These preserves are open to the public 24/7 and offer opportunities for activities such as hiking and trail running, showshoeing and cross-country skiing, bird and wildlife watching, picnicking, nature photography, and wildlife study.
The with more than seven miles of trails, CWC preserves are popular places for hiking. We want you to get outside and encourage you to participate in one of several unique hiking challenges that we run throughout the year.
Popular with tubers, paddlers, and anglers, the Chippewa River offers miles of recreation through Central Michigan. With eight properties located on the water, CWC preserves are well-located to provide access to the river. Popular with anglers, paddlers, and tubers.
