By August 14, 2018 No Comments

Chippewa Watershed Conservancy (CWC) has announced its fall 2018 environmental education programs and volunteer opportunities which run from September through November. Offerings include guided hikes, indoor educational presentations, invasive species management work and hiking trail construction. Locations of the events range from the scenic Audubon Woods Preserve to Bundy Hill Preserve – the tallest point in Isabella County. Educational topics include tree and mushroom identification, mammals, birds, using technology in nature and more.

“We’re pleased to unveil a variety of free environmental education programs and volunteer outings that allow folks in our community to forge deeper connections to the natural world.” said Jon Breithaupt, CWC Executive Director. “Whether it’s giving back to nature through the active management of invasive vegetation such as Autumn Olive or Dame’s Rocket, or learning about how to identify trees in your own backyard, CWC is proud to be a bridge to connect people to the outdoors,” proclaimed Breithaupt.
