SUMMARY:Fall Color Paddling Trip on the Chip

Buckley’s has generously agreed to provide rentals for this trip at a greatly discounted rate! Want to bring your own boat? Buckley’s will shuttle it for $8. \nCost: $15/person (payable the day of the paddle)\nPaddling Time: 2.5 – 3 hours \nPlease go to our Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/events/2461171120586524/ \nPreregistration is recommended but not required. \n  \nShareEmailTwitterFacebookRedditTumblrPinterestLinkedIn

SUMMARY:Summer Wildflowers at Peterson Natural Area
DESCRIPTION:“You belong among the wildflowers…” is not just the line of Tom Petty song; we think it’s a sentiment that everyone can embrace! \nJoin us on Saturday August 17th\, 2019 from 1:00PM to 3:00PM for a wildflower hike at one of the CWC’s underappreciated preserves. Much of the 79-acre Peterson Natural Area is composed of open fields that are perfect for summer wildflowers. We’ll find different species of wildflowers in the wet meadow along the creek that bisects the preserve and in the dry sandy hillsides and swamp near the back of the preserve. Expect to see lots of butterflies and other pollinators! \nAs there are no trails throughout most of the preserve long pants are recommended. \nPeterson Natural Area is located near Big Rapids on the corner of 180th avenue and 11 Mile Road. The parking lot is along 180th Avenue. \nDon’t want to drive? We will be carpooling from Chipp-A-Waters Park (1403 W. High Street) in Mt. Pleasant at 12:00 Noon. \nShareEmailTwitterFacebookRedditTumblrPinterestLinkedIn
