SUMMARY:Summer Wildflower Walk
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday\, August 8th from 1:00PM to 3:00PM for a hike at one of the CWC’s underappreciated preserves. Much of the 79-acre Peterson Natural Area is composed of open fields that are perfect for summer wildflowers. We’ll find different species of wildflowers in the wet meadow along the creek that bisects the preserve and in the dry sandy hillsides and swamp near the back of the preserve. Expect to see lots of butterflies and other pollinators! \nAs there are no trails throughout most of the preserve\, long pants are recommended. \nPeterson Natural Area is located near Big Rapids on the corner of 180th avenue and 11 Mile Road. The parking lot is along 180th Avenue. \nDirections to the preserve http://bit.ly/PetersonNaturalArea \nShareEmailTwitterFacebookRedditTumblrPinterestLinkedIn
