Vernal Pool Exploration @ Hall’s Lake Natural Area

May 8 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Join us on Friday, May 8th, at 4:00 pm to explore the fascinating world of vernal pools as we celebrate Amphibian Week!
Vernal pools are seasonal wetlands that typically fill with snow melt and spring rains but dry out during the summer months. Because of the ephemeral nature of these pools, fish are unable to survive in them. This provides the perfect nursery habitat for many amphibians and invertebrates.
Rubber boots are recommended. A boot disinfection station will be provided.
