Prep for Tree Planting @ Mill Pond Natural Area – Invasive Species Removal Work Session

April 18 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Help us clear space for planting native trees! We’ve ordered 450 native trees and shrubs to plant this spring but we need to clear more space before we plant. With planting scheduled for April 20th, this our last chance to prepare more space!
Join us on Thursday April 18th at 5:00pm for a weekday invasive species removal work session at Mill Pond Natural Area. Removing these invasive species will both provide more room for us to plant and improve their chances of success by removing competition.
No experience is necessary to participate. We’ll provide tools and training.
Please be advised that access to this property may be challenging for some because of terrain and the many dead and downed trees blocking routes in.
Parking for this event is at the east end of Chipp-A-Waters Park (1403 W. High St., Mt. Pleasant). The Natural Area is adjacent to the park.
