January Not-Quite-Full Moon Hike

Join us on Saturday, January 11th at 7:00PM for a hike under the (almost) full moon at our Sylvan Solace Preserve.
We know the moon won’t be full until the 13th but that’s a Monday and we’d rather hike on a Saturday evening! By hiking on the 11th the moon will already be at 39 degrees above the horizon at 7PM versus only 17 degrees above the horizon at the same time on the 13th so we should have a much better view of it. Besides, we don’t think most of us will notice the difference between a moon at 99.2% illumination (on the 13th) and one at only 96.1% illumination (on the 11th)…
This social hike is for everyone! We’ll hike along an approximately 1.2 mile loop on the flat trails at Sylvan Solace with several stops along the way.
