Bundy Hill Preserve Dedication
August 19, 2017 @ 3:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Historic Bundy Hill is one of our newest preserves, possibly the grandest at 100 acres of glacial moraine and the highest point in the county. In celebration, the Chippewa Watershed Conservancy and the Remus Area Historical Society are partnering with Mount Pleasant area businesses such as Motorless Motion, and Art Reach of Mid Michigan, to join in commemorating this beloved treasure of community history with special storefront and museum exhibits. Topping off this summertime historic display is a Grand Community Celebration held Saturday, August 19 from 3 p.m. to Sunset at Bundy Hill Preserve. This community celebration includes a commemorative music event featuring the Bundy Hill Jamboree theme song, with thanks to the Wheatland Music Organization; PitaPit food and drink available for purchase onsite, and naturalist-led explorations of the hillsides of Bundy at 3, 4 and 5 p.m. The official Dedication Ceremony will take place at 7 p.m. Bring your own lawn chairs for seating. Represented are the Remus Area Historical Society with a tabletop informational display, and your hosts, the Chippewa Watershed Conservancy will feature information about all 22 preserves and how we make it all happen, thanks to you. In glorious conclusion, a Sunset hike to “Watch from the Top” begins at 8 p.m. from the trailhead. We dedicate Bundy Hill Preserve to the community, as one of the CWC’s newest and largest nature preserves. We want to thank everyone who made this preserve possible.
